Personal Statement
Tim has a heart for helping people through life’s toughest seasons—especially those carrying burdens they feel they can’t share. With over 25 years of experience walking alongside first responders, pastors, clergy, and adults from all walks of life, Tim brings a warm, grounded approach to therapy that meets clients exactly where they are.

Tim specializes in working with individuals battling behavioral addictions and their loved ones—including compulsive sexual behavior, pornography addiction, and gambling. He understands how these struggles often exist in silence, especially for those in high-pressure roles who feel they can’t afford to be vulnerable. Whether it's a firefighter processing trauma, a police officer managing unrelenting stress, or a pastor quietly burning out under the weight of ministry, Tim offers a confidential and compassionate space to unpack what feels unmanageable. Drawing from evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Tim helps clients develop real-world coping skills to address anxiety, anger, shame, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm.

Tim is especially passionate about serving those who are often overlooked in mental health spaces—men who were raised to "tough it out," first responders who absorb trauma daily, and clergy who have poured out their lives in service but now find themselves exhausted and disillusioned.

At the heart of Tim’s work is a desire to honor Christ through service. As a husband, father to 10 adopted children, and caregiver to aging parents, he understands both the beauty and the weight of deep responsibility. His lived experience shapes his therapeutic presence: steady, empathetic, and real.

If you or a loved one is facing addiction, burnout, or emotional pain that feels too heavy to carry alone, Tim offers a trusted place to begin again—with humility, faith, and tools that lead to lasting change.

Experience
For more than 25 years, Tim has supported individuals and families across a variety of settings. His experience includes providing assessments and discharge planning in the medical field, serving as a case worker and therapist in residential care, and offering individual and group counseling in outpatient practice.
