Personal Statement
My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where adolescents and adults can feel comfortable being themselves, working through challenges, and developing a better understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults ages 13 and older experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and coping with challenging circumstances. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized, with treatment tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.
I also have a particular interest in supporting women who live with chronic pain and chronic health conditions, including endometriosis, adenomyosis, and pelvic pain. Living with ongoing pain can affect nearly every area of life, including relationships, work, emotional well-being, confidence, daily functioning, and overall quality of life. My goal is to provide a space where women can feel understood while developing healthy coping strategies and finding ways to maintain a meaningful life alongside chronic symptoms.
My approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, person-centered therapy, and strength-based approaches. I believe therapy is an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, identify what is within your control, build effective coping skills, and work toward the life you want.
Experience
I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.
After earning my bachelor’s degree, I worked closely with children, teens and young adults administering psychological assessments to help clarify diagnoses and better understand their individual needs. During my master’s program, I worked with children and adolescents as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) technician, providing behavioral interventions for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. During my master’s internship, I had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, allowing me to develop experience supporting clients across a wide range of ages and presenting concerns.
As my clinical interests have developed, I have become particularly interested in the connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I am especially interested in expanding my work with women experiencing chronic pain and conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, and pelvic pain.
Whether you are 13 or an adult navigating anxiety, depression, a difficult life transition, relationship challenges, or the emotional impact of living with chronic pain, therapy can provide a supportive space to work through these experiences and develop tools for moving forward.
