Personal Statement
Being a human is complicated and there is no “right” way to feel when adjusting to the changes that life brings. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, or relationship challenges, you deserve real support. Whatever brings you here, I want you to know that you do not have to face it alone.

My goal is to offer an approach that is both supportive and rooted in your strengths. I hope to create a space for you to feel empowered and able to recognize the resilience and abilities you already hold. You don’t need to have all the answers - or even feel ready to begin. I’ll meet you where you are with compassion and a confidence in your potential for healing and growth. Together, we’ll build effective coping strategies and set meaningful goals that move you toward lasting change.

Experience
After a summer internship with Schug Counseling in 2023, I decided to pursue therapy as a career. Upon entering my MSW program at Western Michigan University, I began exploring many different aspects of the social work world. I have a special interest in working with teens and young adults but am excited to be able to explore many different populations.

During my first year of the program, I interned with YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids as a child and family advocate. I worked closely with Grand Rapids families and their preschool aged children throughout the school year. This experience presented me with the opportunity to explore IEPs and 504 plans with school aged children, along with connecting families with community resources. These experiences have helped me begin shaping a therapeutic approach that is inclusive and strength based.
